Technical Consultant

Summary:

The role is responsible for leading the full lifecycle of web application development, with a focus on developing, maintaining, and enhancing PHP-based web solutions on both portal and premium service platforms. The position involves close collaboration with UX teams, project managers, and co-developers to ensure high-quality, innovative, and efficient application delivery. The incumbent is expected to uphold coding standards, contribute to backend API services, and remain updated on emerging web development trends and best practices while adhering to the company's operational and technical guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Develop multiple project plans for all projects, which will compile the approach, dependencies and assumptions of a project. Ultimately it should also include deployment plan, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms.
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team.
• Ensure HTML, CSS and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications.
• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools.
• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API.
• Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support.
• Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues.
• Coordinate with co-developers and keeps Project Manager well informed of the status development effort and serves a liaison between development staff and Project Manager.
• Document the development process architecture and standard components.
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.
• Carrying out all proper and reasonable instructions from your immediate Supervisor or designate or Company.

Position Requirement & Skills:

• Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar.
• Minimum two (2) years’ working experience as a PHP/Laravel developer.
• In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel framework.
• Hands on experience with SL scheme design, SOLID principles, REST API design.
• Software testing (PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat).
• PostgreSQL profiling and query optimisation.
